Spinal health is complex. Patients arrive at our office having seen multiple surgeons, received conflicting opinions, or been told nothing more can be done.

Our process reflects more than two decades of caring for thousands of patients with unusual diagnoses, prior procedures, and complex medical histories. We specialize in the cases that don’t fit neatly into a textbook — and we believe most patients do better when they’re educated, calm, and part of the decision.

By combining the latest technology with traditional, time-tested techniques, we deliver care of the highest standard in the New York metropolitan region.

Surgeon

Haroon F. Choudhri, M.D., FAANS

Board-Certified Neurosurgeon · Founder

Dr. Choudhri is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who received his medical training in New York City. After graduating from medical school at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, he completed his neurosurgery residency and a prestigious Combined Orthopaedic/Neurosurgery Fellowship in Complex Spinal Surgery at New York University.

He served for 16 years as Professor of Neurosurgery at Augusta University in Georgia, where he was Chief of the Section of Adult Neurosurgery and Director of the Neurosurgery Spine Service & Fellowship in Complex Spinal Surgery. He developed an international reputation for high-quality complex care, and patients have traveled from across the United States and overseas to be treated by him.

With his growing international following, he returned to the New York metropolitan area — the city he loves — to build a smaller practice where he could give every patient the depth of attention complex spine cases deserve.

He currently serves as President of the Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgery Society’s Spine Division and leads committees on Oral Board Examination and Spine Fellowship Accreditation.

Saima Samdani, M.D.

Billing Manager & International Patient Coordinator

Saima has worked with our practice as an International Patient Coordinator and Billing Specialist for many years, previously at the International Neurospinal Institute. As a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, she brings vast experience in treating patients with spinal problems — without surgery or after surgery. International patient transfers and air ambulance services are also coordinated by Dr. Samdani.

Jennifer Vickers

Office Manager

Jennifer worked with Professor Choudhri for four years in Augusta, Georgia at Augusta University. She is intimately aware of the complexities and needs of patients facing potential spine surgery — especially revision surgery. She treats every patient with compassion and faithfully relays information between patients and the spine team. We were lucky to recruit her to join us at Hudson Neurosurgery.

Suzanne Albers

Medical Billing

Suzanne has been with the practice for a year but is an expert in her field, with more than 30 years in medical billing. She always keeps patients’ best interests at heart when working with insurance companies, securing surgical approvals, and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Evelyn Cruz

Intake Specialist, Medical Assistant & Spanish Translator

Evelyn assists Dr. Choudhri in the clinic and helps our rapidly expanding practice run smoothly — handling patient intake, clinical support, and translation for our Spanish-speaking patients.
